How Does It Perform?

The STAUFF Form tube forming system is patented and offers a high performance solution for the connection of metric tubes.
The simple design and assembly process enables constant production reliability, with maximum integrity and fail safe performance.

STAUFF Form has been designed for tubes with dimensions between 6 x 1.5 mm and 42 x 4 mm  Light Series and between 6 x 1.5 mm and 38 x 6 mm  Heavy Series. Specifically designed for cold drawn steel and stainless tubes, but also suitable for use with alternative materials such as copper, brass, CiNiFe, Tungum etc. 

What About The Design and Components?

The system is based on standard DIN 2353 components and consists of just four key elements



The STAUFF Formed tube end with integrated  elastomeric sealing fits  a conventional 24°cone body creating a positive lock connection which is permanent and leak/maintenanc free, providing the body and union nut, are both according to ISO 8434-1.

 

A Summary Of The Key Features

 

Suitable for both steel and stainless steel tubing as standard–also suitable for alternative tube materials on request

Covers all common metric tube dimensions from 6 x 1.5 mm to 42 x 4 mm in the Light Series and 38 x 6 mm in the Heavy Series respectively

 Requires only standard parts from the STAUFF Connect range in accordance with ISO 8434-1:

ƒHigh-quality zinc/nickel surface coating provides maximum protection andcorrosion resistance – standard for all parts in the STAUFF Connect range

Positive lock connection with a large profile elastomeric sealing providing a safe, reliable and permanent seal even in the event of high tolerances

The use of FKM/FPM (Viton®) as the standard seal material makes the system perfect for the most challenging applications

ƒSuitable for nominal pressures up to 800 bar in the Heavy Series – designed with four times safety limit and maximum pull out stress resistance

ƒIncredibly simple final assembly in the fitting body with low assembly torques as well as short assembly turn (once the fixed pointƒhas been reached) with a minimised risk of over-assembly
